Okay, that's fine for me if it's locally accepted.
That's very nice documentation for both operator you mentioned.

I recommend to describe this on osm.wiki/Power_networks/Portugal you already began to complete.

We will probably make further review in a couple of year to see how this tagging is practiced around the world

Bonjour Hugo

Hello

That's interesting. Do you know where I can find public documentation from operators reporting line sections please? That will be useful to document that.

By the way, the point of those nested relations wasn't to oppose circuits versus sections.
Those two concepts always exist, but sometimes they can be abstracted for sake of maintenance.
For instance having two relations here is not necessary:
Section: relation/16827098
Circuit: relation/20179280

The circuits includes the section and link to substations as well. Nesting a line_section in it doesn't bring additional information.
But power=circuit is required as you need to know the substations.

This is equivalent: relation/10106801
But only needs one relation and the section does exist as well.

I hope I'm clear, it's not an attempt to differ from what local operator is mentioning in its reporting. You can still use sections through circuits relations without always create a line_section relation.

Good morning

I noticed your efforst to update power grid circuits and thank you for this attempt.
I think it could be even simpler. You can avoid creating nested line_section relation when the line is straight between two substations.

Did you see this example?
power=circuit#A_linear_circuit_with_two_ends

I available to help if needed. You can check 400 kV and 225 kV lines in France for reference.

I'm sorry for this, we should had communicate a bit more during RFC. It has been discussed on community forum: https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/rfc-power-circuits-routing-proposal/128903

You should look at power=line_section as weel, particularly for branched circuits
power=line_section

Is it written on ground?

I thought about this good practice otherwise: osm.wiki/Good_practice#Don't_use_name_tag_to_describe_things

Hello

Regarding substations names, it shouldn't include "Substation" but only the name of the place.
This one node/13298122936 should be named "Windmill" only.

Hello

I noticed that way/939911881 member of relation/19852493 with the role line but power=circuit relation only expect power segments with section role.
See power=circuit#Members

Is it possible to fix your import strategy please?

Bonjour

I think we had this discussion back to 2020: https://github.com/openinframap/openinframap/issues/77

We struggle with this for years and data quality isn't improving. Not to mention countries where different frequencies share the same lines (for traction) with ; values.

171105111 5 months ago

Hello Gazer, this has been discussed in this proposal I shared previously: osm.wiki/Proposal:Power_circuits_routing#Less_tagging_redundancy_between_lines,_sections_and_circuits
It has been reviewed and voted.

It's better to leave a single information at one place and frequency is definitely a matter of circuits and logical layer. We currently make progress on editors to improve presets and reduce the hassle for mappers.

Bonsoir

Hello and thank you for your answer, I didn't took time to look at your profile and I found the URL to use for this area.

But I'm affraid that it could be filtered outside of Colombia: I'm getting timeout from mapas2.igac.gov.co, still today.

You made a great work of documentation on wiki about Colombia and it's nice to read, thank you.

Regarding power comanies, we are not set to assign accurately operators for now, we only seek for missing power lines and substations on well known aerial imagery. I will took time to write a little on the community forum about what we found so far.

All the best !

Hello German C,

i'm currently contributing on Colombia power grid from Europe with ESRI World imagery wich sometimes lack some accuracy
I saw the particular source you mentioned in your changeset here but don't manage to access anything.
Do you have any hint about the license of this layer and how we could use it please?

Best regards
