about 1 month ago | Oh, Now I think I know what happened. There are/were a bunch of address node that I converted into the buildings. It looks like the addresses had names and those names became the name of the building. I think most of the names of these buildings should be removed. Some of them are addresses and some of them are the local name of the house.
about 1 month ago | Must have been an oversight. Definitely didn't mean it. I just fixed the name to remove the street name and the owner's last name
| 166046667 | 9 months ago | Hey KindredCoda... Thanks for adding the GGB building structure! I'm wondering if a type=building relation would be better here. Then all the parts would be role=part. See osm.wiki/Relation:building
Just a thought - I don't think it would be hard to convert it - you've done all the hard work already. |
9 months ago | This caused many duplicate houses. Please verify that your conflation process does not lead to duplicate buildings.
9 months ago | Hello CAT Fijn, please don't add the address of a house to the name. residential houses generally don't have names. add an address if you would like to. Also, please don't add buildings on top of other buildings.
9 months ago | adi04, you seem to be duplicating buildings that are already on the map. I see you are relatively new, so this is probably a mistake. I'm deleting the duplicates... but please review the wiki about adding buildings to the map. No need to duplicate geometries.
9 months ago | This is obvious fantasy and not based on reality. Please revert this changeset.
10 months ago | Why did you make buildings into diamond shapes? See way/531354067
10 months ago | It looks like this edit broke relation/13737951. Can you please take a look and see if you can fix it? I'm seeing that this multipolygon has an unclosed part.
10 months ago | Just wondering... are the "names" that you are assigning actually addresses? Or are they actually the name of the buildings? Just wondering if these should actually be address = <blah> ?
11 months ago | Botirjon2020 - these are not houses. These appear to be "place=plot". Please correct them. Building=* is meant to trace the outline of a structure - not a plot boundary.
11 months ago | Hello Botirjon2020. I wanted to just point out that "buildings" are meant to trace the outline of a building. They are not meant as property boundaries. It looks like you are drawing property boundaries. I think you want to you place=plot (place=plot) instead of building=yes Привет, Botirjon2020. Я просто хотел отметить, что "buildings" предназначены для обозначения контура здания. Они не предназначены для обозначения границ собственности. Похоже, вы рисуете границы собственности. Я думаю, вы хотите использовать "place=plot" (place=plot) вместо "building=yes"
11 months ago | Ooops. meant to say that I removed a bunch of duplicate nodes.
11 months ago | Sorry, my fault. The initial issue was that the two ways intersected without a shared node. I incorrectly made other changes - my apologies.
11 months ago | It had a self intersection. So I converted it to a relation with two members. One for outer and one for inner.
about 1 year ago | It looks like the Changeset duplicated many of the buildings created in changeset/159543060. Can you please revert these duplicate buildings? Also, I'm wondering how this happened as you are using Rapid and Rapid should show you where buildings have already been mapped.
about 1 year ago | This seems to be an import of buildings that completely duplicated your change set 159314877. Can you please revert this to eliminate the ~1400 duplicate buildings? I see that you only have 15 edits so far so this is probably a mistake, but imports generally need to be discussed with the OSM community. If you need help reverting please let me know or reach out to the OSM community.
about 1 year ago | It looks like this changeset added a number of duplicate buildings. For example 1339756548 and 1339759083. I'd removed 1339759083 and a number of other duplicates, but I just wanted to point it out in case there might be a problem with your process that caused the duplicates.
about 1 year ago | Many of these buildings are realy not good polygons. also some of them are invalid: see the "warnings:close_nodes:vertices" warning on this changeset. Please try to create more acurate and valid buildings in the future.
about 1 year ago | Tera, can you please make sure that you are closing all the buildings you create? I've seen a few buildings in this area that you created that are not valid building shapes. I'm specifically looking at way/1337172885 right now and I'll fix it, but please look into the process that you are using that may be creating multiple nodes for a building. One hint that there is a problem is the "warning:close_nodes:vertices" that ID should have given you when you tried to commit this change. I would also say that if you are using ID you may want to use the "q" key to square houses as you go - this will not only square the house but it will indicate where you may have bad building polygons. Thanks for your contribution!! Happy mapping
