Hi Taya_S, thank you for restoring. It doesn't look like the members of the relation were also rolled back with this change. See version 31 for what it previously was: relation/4829985/history/31

Mashin, I recommend that you send an email to the DWG if you have not already. This relation has been changed and reverted 4+ times in the past 3 days. https://osmlab.github.io/osm-deep-history/#/relation/4829985

patrickbootscec,
Storrs is the on-the ground name, and is what should be in the name=* tag. Note - Storrs is not signposted anywhere on official Connecticut signage. If the state needs to sign for it on green directional signs, they call it UConn. Storrs is what UConn calls the area on their signage on US 44. The only agency calling it "Storrs-Mansfield" is the USPS.

In more recent changesets, you also have changed the boundary of relation/4829985 from boundary=census to boundary=place and changed the way to a new shape representing mailing addresses using "Storrs-Mansfield". (From what I can tell by cross referencing with Mansfield's AxisGIS map). This is incorrect and should be reverted.

However, after reviewing the Key:addr:city wiki page, I believe that the addresses on the nodes/ways shouldn't be revered. The city should be "Storrs-Mansfield" since it is the name of the post office serving that address.

Hello and thank you for contributing to OpenStreetMap!

I've confirmed that this camera exists and corrected some tags. See https://deflock.me/report for the best tags to use for Flock cameras.

Please keep in mind when using streetlevel imagery that Google is copyrighted and not permitted for OSM use. However, mapillary.com is allowed and encouraged (and has excellent new image coverage in CT). In the image editor, press "U" and then check "Mapillary" to pull up street imagery.

Nice - thank you for your additions to the map!

Hi, I saw these cameras when taking a detour off the highway, so I’m not completely sure.

City of Groton camera - probably spring of 2024 based off of the city’s PACT meeting minutes stating that they acquired flock cameras

Mystic (Stonington) camera - August or September 2025 based off of no camera present in Mapillary.com photos

Ledyard camera - August or September 2025 based off of no camera present in Mapillary.com photos

Hello! Does this Flock camera on Meriden Road in Wolcott still exist? I've checked mapillary.com streetview imagery from March 7, 2025 and did not see anything in front of the Hertz. Thank you!

Hi, the Deflock project has instructions on how to map cameras, including how to add the direction it is facing. See step 4 here: https://deflock.me/report/id

Hi, thank you for your additions to the map! I made some changes to the tags of the cameras that you added. Most importantly, I changed "Surveillance Type" to "ALPR" so it can be found in the database.

Thanks for your contributions! I added some tags to identify the cameras as Flock cameras

This should say source=survey, though you can probably see some flock camera solar panels in aerial imagery.

Its a survey of 2 different trips I took through Bristol/Farmington and New Britain this past week. I use Open GPX to pin locations and review dashcam footage.

Hi, I think some of these are dome cameras that the DOT uses to look at traffic conditions, not ALPRs. You can find a lot of them here:
https://ctroads.org/cctv?start=0&length=10&filters%5B0%5D%5Bi%5D=2&filters%5B0%5D%5Bs%5D=Guilford&filters%5B1%5D%5Bi%5D=3&filters%5B1%5D%5Bs%5D=I-95&order%5Bi%5D=1&order%5Bdir%5D=asc

If they are domes, the tags to use are:
surveillance:type=camera
camera:type=dome
operator=Connecticut Department of Transportation

Added all directions to the camera

Motorway_link makes the most sense to me because the road is essentially serves as a long on/off ramp for route 9. The only reason I would be hesitant is because I've never seen an example of a such a long motorway_link for a 2+1 road

118179423 almost 4 years ago

note: CT DOT marked these roads as "minor arterial" but they connect to nowhere. Ends at a "collector" road in North Haven. Does not make sense as secondary considering the road network.

Ok, I'll send him a message

Why did you revert this? Following your own source and ConnDOT maps, CT 82 is a "minor arterial" from CT 9 to Saybrook Road. It does not meet expressway classification.
