What I did in OpenStreetMap in January 2022

• I think Null Island should be in OSM. Initial post from someone asking to remove it, my opinion 🐘 on fediverse post 🐦 same on twitter
• Don’t copy from Google Street View, OSM might be stricter than Google 🐘 🐦.

  • As part of work I’ve been fixing little things in Nominatim, like this typo
  • Someone asked how to find OSM users who comment on changeset, but don’t edit OSM, so I wrote a simple programme (anglosaxon source on github, install via crates) to do it and wrote a diary entry. 🐘 🐦

    • Posted Env to CH, LS, US, RW, UK, Posted package: NG, UG
    • New groupto be able to charge OSMF easier
      • Had to do a CWG poll, then try to get OTRS set up
    • Cleaned up the wiki page clean up, moved the history to a sub page

    • Emailed someone with access to follow up from Nov 2021 email with no response
    • Emailed someone else to ask to set up masto posting (they don’t have access)
